I always liked looking back at these movies and showing them to my friends and family. Why when the site was re designed were they not added back?

The old videos were unfortunately not kept by Drew or anyone after the class ended, except for a small handful. The web versions of them still exist, but they're pretty low-resolution. Still, I might get around to putting them up here at some point.
In the meantime, we still have the entire old site archived, and you can watch all the old films! It has some images and such missing (which I'll fix someday), but the films are all there. Check it out: http://dhollister.com/archives/vp/yearone/
